The Democrats’ coup attempt against Donald Trump is failing.
Americans across the country see impeachment for what it is, a sham.
And a new report just proved that Democrats are in serious trouble in 2020.
The Democrats have hung their hopes on impeaching Donald Trump.
They’ve been screeching for impeachment literally minutes after Trump was inaugurated.
Various Democratic congressmen have formally called for Trump to be impeached on at least four separate occasions.
The most notable example was the Russian collusion narrative that completely went up in smoke when special counsel Robert Mueller didn’t seem to know what was in his own report, and most recently the Ukrainian whistleblower nonsense.
These impeachment pushes were both about getting Trump removed from office, or at minimum, poisoning him with the American people.
But the plan isn’t working.
Democrats won back the house in 2018 in large part on their promise to impeach Trump, but the American people have changed their tune considering the economy is in relatively good shape at the moment, and the United States isn’t embroiled in any new foreign wars.
Polls show that support for impeachment has dropped below water, and CBS correspondents all said that Democratic primary voters do not care at all about impeachment.
During an appearance on CBS personality Major Garrett’s podcast “The Takeout,” three journalists each went to key primary states.
LaCrai Mitchell went to South Carolina, Nicole Sganga went to Iowa, and Musadiq Bidar went to Iowa.
Garrett asked them each what voters’ interest were in impeachment, and their answers should deeply concern Democrats.
Bidar said, “[Impeachment] comes up very little.”
Sganga said, “I’ve heard a grand total of two questions., and I’ve probably heard hundreds and hundreds of questions.”
Mitchell responded, “In the past three months, I can think of one town hall where impeachment has come up.”
Field reporters relayed similar remarks to Chuck Todd at MSNBC.
Despite the Democrats’ hard push for impeachment, the American people just aren’t buying it.
Democrats can’t even decide what to call Trump’s so-called misconduct.
They moved from “quid pro quo” to “bribery” to the weak charges of obstruction of Congress and abuse of power, two non-crimes.
Impeachment has been a complete debacle for the Democrats.
The American people see through the facade.
They know the Democrats will impeachment Trump in the House along party lines, but the whole fiasco goes nowhere in the Republican-controlled Senate.
And even the strict party line isn’t working out well for Democrats.
A few Democrat congressmen in purple districts are either non-committal on impeachment, or they’ve come out against one.
One congressman, Jeff Van Drew, actually switched his party affiliation from Democrat to Republican due to the sheer madness of the left.
The harder the Democrats push for impeachment, the more people they’ll be pushing into Donald Trump’s arms.
But Democrats are weak when it comes to self-reflection, so expect more of the same.
