CNN has taken on the task of trying to demolish Donald Trump.
But they’ve destroyed their credibility in the process.
Now CNN is finished as a network after the insane thing they just said about Trump.
CNN has taken extreme actions in order to undermine the Trump presidency.
Investigative journalist outfit, Project Veritas, recently uncovered deep anti-Trump bias within the network.
CNN continues to pretend to be objective, but they’re as far left as every other big media organization.
Project Veritas captured anchors on tape admitting that Russiagate was a “nothing-burger” despite hyping it up on the air.
They also recorded network chairman Jeff Zucker instructing his reporters to make anti-Trump stories their top priority in news.
Worse yet, CNN had to let go of two reporters after they botched a story about former Trump stagger Anthony Scaramucci.
And now CNN is stooping to a new low by openly pushing a ridiculous conspiracy theory.
During a segment with CNN’s Brianna Keilar, Democratic Representative Norma Torres said Trump was being blackmailed by Russian president Vladimir Putin.
Torres said, “I am afraid that Vladimir Putin may have something on the president. And it is the reason why the president has continued to play the handmaid to Vladimir Putin.”
This is absurd on so many levels.
Firstly, Keilar did almost nothing to challenge Torres’ awful claims. Keilar and CNN should be ashamed to let these types of allegations run rampant on their network.
Second, the country just endured a 22-month investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller that showed no collusion between Trump and Russia.
And the notion that the Russians might have dirt on Trump was presented by the thoroughly debunked Steele dossier.
Third, it doesn’t even make sense because Trump has been much tougher on Russia than the Obama administration ever was.
During the 2012 election, Obama laughed at GOP candidate Mitt Romney when he suggested Russia was a serious geopolitical threat.
Obama was also caught on a hot mic telling then President Dmitry Medvedev that he would have more flexibility after his re-election if de facto head of state Putin backed off with his aggression against Ukraine.
Obama got his wish.
Putin backed off, then later annexed Crimea.
Meanwhile, Trump actually armed the Ukrainians against the Russians.
Trump authorized a missile strike that took out several Russians.
Trump also pulled out of the Iran nuclear deal, which also hurt Russia because they had been selling weapons to the Iranian government.
None of these actions suggest Trump is in Putin’s pocket.
If he were, he wouldn’t be making these moves.
Trump’s diplomatic strategy is clear.
He doesn’t attack people who haven’t attacked him first.
Putin is smart enough to know that his country has an aging population and an economy the size of Texas, so he can’t afford to verbally assault Trump.
Nevertheless, CNN further damaged its credibility by pushing a pathetic blackmail narrative that’s been dead and buried for a long time.
