Liberals will stoop to any level if it hurts Donald Trump.
Since 2016, they’ve become completely overwhelmed by Trump Derangement Syndrome.
And now the liberal New York Times made a twisted comment about Trump with the hope of getting the United States into war.
The American people do not want war.
When libertarian Ron Paul ran for president, he received more campaign donations from active military personnel than any other candidate.
Soldiers know the horrors of war, and they reject it, as do the majority of American citizens.
One of the reasons Trump was elected was to keep the United States out of senseless wars abroad.
During the 2016 campaign, Trump called out war hawks and got a standing ovation.
However, some left-wing war hawks and liberals who just want to see Trump burn are hoping to goad Trump into war with Iran.
They know getting the United States into yet another protracted military conflict in the Middle East would wreck Trump’s re-election chances in 2020 and give the so-called mainstream media their war ratings spike.
The New York Times wrote a shocking piece that read like war propaganda.
Trump backed off on a military action—in response to Iran shooting down an unmanned U.S. drone—that would’ve killed an estimated 150 Iranians, and the Times is notably upset.
The article said, “Mr. Trump’s order to attack Iran…in retaliation for its downing of a spy drone, and his abrupt reversal minutes before American forces carried it out, have intensified global doubts about the president’s judgment and the power wielded by the United States.”
According to the Times, calling off an attack that would’ve killed 150 people and possibly escalated the conflict with Iran into a hot war is a sign of questionable judgment.
These are the same people that routinely call Trump the new Hitler and howl that he can’t be trusted with the nuclear codes.
Meanwhile in reality, The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump told a confidant, “These people want to push us into a war, and it’s so disgusting. We don’t need any more wars.”
If Trump is Hitler, he’s doing it wrong.
The Times wasn’t alone in its ghoulish war hawk posture.
CNN’s Samantha Vinograd sneered that Trump “wasn’t willing to follow through” with a devastating attack.
Liberals are all too happy to coax Trump into war.
However, these same liberals threw a fit when Trump announced he would be withdrawing troops from Afghanistan and Syria.
Their hatred of Trump supersedes everything, even common sense and decency.
They would rather see people dead and America engaged in a hot war simply for the ratings bonanza and the pot shots they can levy against Trump.
This is why Trump isn’t wrong when he labels them the enemy of the people.
Allies of the American people wouldn’t be eager for a trillion-dollar war that would hurt or kill thousands of people, many of them American.
Trump showed great restraint keeping the United States out of war with Iran, and he’ll need to muster more of that strength, because the hawks are slowly banging their drums.
