The fake news media believes a spy’s so-called “whistleblower complaint” is their ticket to finally bring down Donald Trump.
But the anti-Trump media just got some really bad news.
And that’s because this letter just vindicated Donald Trump over one big media lie about Ukraine.
CBS’s venerable “60 Minutes” caused a stir over the weekend when it reported that the spy who filed the so-called “whistleblower” complaint had been put under federal protection because President Trump supposedly encouraged threats on his life.
60 Minutes’ official twitter account wrote: “60 Minutes has obtained a letter that indicates the government whistleblower who set off the impeachment inquiry of President Trump is under federal protection because they fear for their safety.”
This was a lie.
One of the spy’s attorneys, Mark Zaid, tweeted that 60 Minutes had “completely misrepresented” the letter written.
Andrew Bakaj, the lead attorney for the spy, had sent a letter on September 28th which read:
“The purpose of this letter is to formally notify you of serious concerns we have regarding our client’s personal safety. We appreciate your office’s support thus far to activate appropriate resources to ensure their safety. The events of the past week have heightened our concerns that our client’s identity will be disclosed publicly and that, as a result, our client will be put in harm’s way.
The events of the past week have heightened our concerns that our client’s identity will be disclosed publicly and that, as a result, our client will be put in harm’s way.”
Nowhere does Bakaj claim the spy is under armed protection because of President Trump.
60 Minutes later tweeted that they stood by their reporting, which prompted Zaid to respond yet again and flat out accuse 60 Minutes of making things up.
“Are you now asserting you have a source other than the letter our legal team sent to @ODNIgov ? Because if you don’t, and I know you don’t, then you’re literally making stuff up. That helps no one, especially the #whistleblower. The media should always accurately report facts,” Zaid tweeted.
This was just the latest in the fake news media purposefully publishing false information to mislead the American people about the “whistleblower” complaint to drive up support for impeaching and removing Donald Trump from office.
In the Wall Street Journal’s initial report on the so-called “whistleblower” complaint, the Journal reported that the spy claimed President Trump mentioned Joe Biden eight times during his call with the Ukrainian President.
This was false.
Biden’s name came up three times.
And before acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire testified to Congress about the spy’s compliant, the Washington Post had reported that, “The acting director of national intelligence threatened to resign over concerns that the White House might attempt to force him to stonewall Congress when he testifies Thursday about an explosive whistleblower complaint about the president, according to current and former U.S. officials familiar with the matter.”
This was also false.
White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham ripped the fake news Washington Post for only giving the administration six minutes to respond to this fabricated story.
Maguire later released a statement declaring that, “at no time have I considered resigning my position since assuming this role on Aug. 16, 2019. I have never quit anything in my life, and I am not going to start now. I am committed to leading the Intelligence Community to address the diverse and complex threats facing our nation.”
The acting Director of National Intelligence also repeated this denial under oath during his testimony before the House Intelligence Committee.
The so-called “journalists” that continually publish false and misleading information are not making good-faith errors.
While mistakes do happen, these errors all run in one direction – against President Trump.
For this reason, fake news reporters will run anything that fits their narrative that Donald Trump is a criminal and must be removed from office, even if they know it is false.
Liberal Propaganda Exposed will continue to keep you up to date on any new developments in this ongoing story.
