It’s no secret that big media hates Donald Trump.
They even refuse to engage with his supporters and find out why they will vote for him.
One TV host talked to a trio of Trump supporters and they left him utterly speechless.
Univision host Jorge Ramos is a wild leftist who goes after Trump and the Republicans any chance he gets.
His bias is clear and obvious.
If he has on Republicans like Ann Coulter, he tries to play hardball, particularly on the issue of illegal immigration.
When he has on a Democrat like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, he conducts a softball interview where the guest isn’t challenged on any of their socialist ideas.
Ramos recently invited three members of the group Border Hispanics for Trump, and it did not go well for him.
Ramos tried to hit them with all of the tired leftist talking points, but none worked.
Ramos asked the following question to Trump supporter Ray Baca:
“A third of Latinos voted for President Donald Trump. Not very many Latinos say so openly. Why did you decide to support President Donald Trump? And has this, Mr. Baca, caused trouble for you all?”
“[M]any Hispanics are also beginning to understand that the economy is much better than ever under a Democratic President…Many Hispanics have jobs, more Hispanics can purchase homes. Everything that goes along with a good economy. And little by little, Hispanics are asking themselves: ‘Well, and why am I a Democrat?’ Because many of the values held by Hispanics are represented by Republicans.”
This exchange illustrates why Trump is likely to win reelection.
The Democrats are focused only on things that the media class cares about.
The average American doesn’t care about the President’s tweets; only 22% of adults in the U.S. are on Twitter.
Long-time Democrat political strategist James Carville famously said Americans care about “the economy, stupid,” but the Democrats won’t—and perhaps can’t—run on that issue.
Coincidentally, Carville recently said the Democrats can’t win because they’re focused on niche issues that only voters on the coasts care about.
Another perfect example of this came in the Ramos interview.
He asked Latina Trump supporter Ana Laura Cepeda about the Access Hollywood tape and how she could vote for a “sexist.”
Cepeda responded, “I believe that the way President Trump has been able to work with Ben Carson and Nikki Haley are examples of how his actions speak louder than his words.”
In the mind of Ramos and other leftists, Trump’s locker room talk on the Access Hollywood tape is worse than Bill Clinton’s actions.
Ramos eventually tried to play the race card and brought up the issue of illegal immigration.
Trump supporter Anthony Agüero replied:
“Requesting asylum is not a crime, it is open to all, but unfortunately, in these cases, only 12% of them have a valid case for being able to stay here under asylum.”
The truth is Hispanic Americans are not highly supportive of unfettered illegal immigration.
That’s why Trump got more Latino support than did Mitt Romney despite a relentless media effort trying to label him a racist.
If this is all the ammunition Ramos and the Democrats have, they’re in serious trouble come November.
