Big media is on a mission to take down Donald Trump.
They don’t even pretend to hide their bias anymore.
And when Trump was asked one despicable question, his response blew everyone away.
The corporate press is the enemy of the American people.
It can no longer be argued.
They’ve given up their responsibility of being the referees in the game of politics.
Instead, they’re openly helping the Democrats further their political goals.
That’s one of the reasons why Donald Trump’s coronavirus press briefings have devolved into hostile journalists trying to make a name for themselves by asking the most absurd questions.
New York Magazine reporter Olivia Nuzzi was the latest to grandstand in an attempt to get underneath Trump’s skin during a briefing.
She asked, “If an American president loses more Americans over the course of six weeks than died over the entirety of the Vietnam war, does he deserve to be reelected?”
This is a truly nasty question that isn’t meant to elicit an insightful response or provide information to the American people.
Nuzzi simply wanted a hostile soundbite from Trump.
Instead, Trump responded with an answer that was far more measured than Nuzzi had hoped for.
He said, “So, we’ve lost a lot of people, but if you look at what original projections were, 2.2 million, we’re probably headed to 60,000, 70,000, far too many—one person is too many for this—and I think we’ve made a lot of really good decisions.”
Nuzzi had to have been peeved that she didn’t get the reaction she so desperately wanted.
The Wuhan virus has killed over 200,000 people around the globe.
To put all of that at the feet of Trump reeks of partisan hackwork of the highest order.
Trump continued in his response, “The big decision was closing the border or doing the ban, people coming in from China, obviously other than American citizens which had to come in; you can’t say you can’t come back to your country. I think we’ve made a lot of good decisions. I think that Mike Pence and the task force have done a fantastic job.”
The travel ban was, of course, harshly criticized by the so-called mainstream media – who then tried to stealthily reverse themselves on that position when other countries followed suit.
Trump’s smackdown of Nuzzi also included talk of America building a stockpile of ventilators, something multiple administrations have failed to do, and becoming one of the countries leading the pack in testing.
If Nuzzi’s humiliation wasn’t thorough enough, she was roundly mocked on social media for her sad performance.
Former Press Secretary Ari Fleischer tweeted, “It’s clown questions like this that can make the briefing a waste of time. Good to see potus rose above and didn’t take the bait.”
Nuzzi aptly responded to Fleischer’s comment by tweeting, “Oh, shut the f*ck up.”
These are supposed to be the reporters bringing objective news to the people so they can make informed decisions.
Instead, they’re adversaries to the American people.
