CNN viewers were left in a state of shock.
Something unheard of made its way onto the network’s programming.
And this CNN analyst said the one thing on air that could get him fired.
CNN injected Christopher Steele’s Trump-Russia dossier into the American political bloodstream.
Critics believe Obama Deep State agent James Clapper leaked to CNN host Jake Tapper that then-FBI Director James Comey briefed President-elect Donald Trump on the existence of allegations contained in the dossier that the Russians had compromising information on him.
CNN did not publish the dossier, but once they reported of its existence they knew lesser light media outlets would do their dirty work and publish the fake news.
And that is exactly what happened when BuzzFeed published the dossier in full.
That was the match that ignited the Russian collusion conspiracy.
But that hoax unraveled completely after Robert Mueller spent two years and nearly thirty million dollars investigating the Trump campaign only to come up empty handed.
Now federal investigators are examining the start of the probe want to talk to Steele and appears the ex-British spy will meet with government officials.
On CNN this was not hailed as good news.
Ex-CIA and FBI official Roger Mudd stunned CNN’s audience by predicting doom for Steele.
“If you go to car races looking for car wrecks, this is significant. This will be a car wreck,” Mudd declared.
Mudd hinted at what many Americans already suspect – that the Russian sources Steele used for the dossier were part of a Kremlin misinformation campaign to hurt Donald Trump.
“I can’t believe he has perfect answers about the origins of the Steele dossier. I’m not even sure why he’s showing up. If I were him, I’d go to Disney World. I would not go to the Department of Justice, because it will not end up well,” Mudd added.
Mudd further went on to explain that Steele’s answer would reveal that the dossier was always a low quality fraud.
“Let me give you how this game ends. Christopher Steele shows up in front of the Department of Justice and I’m guessing doesn’t have terrific answers for the quality of the information in that Steele dossier,” Mudd concluded.
This was a shocking statement for a CNN on-air talent to make.
Multiple CNN hosts and analysts defended the dossier as “verified.”

Fake news “reporter” Brian Stelter told White House Senior Counselor Kellyanne Conway “That is misinformation that you’re spreading on my program, Kellyanne, and I don’t appreciate it,” after Conway accurately described the dossier as fake news.
CNN was fully invested in the “dossier is verified” hoax as long as the Mueller probe went on.
But in a rare moment of honesty on CNN – Mudd confessed to the fact that the document CNN spent years promoting was nothing more than a fraud cooked up by a foreign government.
