Big media is desperate to control you.
They’ve been able to steer the narrative for so long, but that power is slipping away.
Now CNN doesn’t want you to see the one site that hilariously exposes them.
The 2016 election has left the Democrats and the members of the so-called mainstream media in a tailspin.
Their Obama-Hillary succession plan was lined up perfectly, but Donald Trump crashed the party.
The left is furious at Trump for doing that, but they’re particularly angry at him for another reason.
Trump is using the left’s strategy of humor against them.
In “Rules for Radicals,” leftist agitator Saul Alinsky said that mockery was a useful tool in the culture war.
Through entertainment media, the left has been deploying that against the right for decades.
Ronald Reagan was able to tap into humor and mock the Soviet Union’s idiotic and immoral adherance to communism.
But Trump has taken using humor as a weapon against the left to another level with his Twitter feed and campaign rallies.
The left hates that they’re finally seeing pushback in the culture war, which is why they also hate the satirical website, The Babylon Bee.
The Babylon Bee is a right-leaning version of The Onion that’s run by Christian conservatives.
They do a fantastic job lampooning the left, and the left just doesn’t know how to handle it.
In fact, one CNN reporter took to Twitter to express his frustration with the site.
Reporter Donie O’Sullivan was hot and bothered over a headline from The Babylon Bee that read: “Democrats Call For Flags To Be Flown At Half-Mast To Grieve Death Of Soleimani.”
The article poked fun at the Democrats’ fawning praise over a terrorist who killed thousands of Americans, Iraqis, and Iranians.
O’Sullivan was upset that people online were sharing the article as if it were real, but that’s ridiculous.
The Babylon Bee clearly presents itself as satire, and they’re well known for their humor.
The real play by CNN and other leftists is to attack the Bee not because it’s misleading, but because it’s effective at exposing the foolishness and making a mockery of the left.
O’Sullivan let the truth slip when he pointed out that the satirical piece about Soleimani’s death got more engagement on Facebook than The New York Times and CNN stories on the platform.
But CNN isn’t the only left-wing entity with their sights on The Babylon Bee.
Snopes and other “objective” fact-checking sites have actually fact-checked The Babylon Bee’s clearly satirical pieces.
That would be like Snopes fact-checking a “Saturday Night Live” sketch, or more aptly, a piece from The Onion.
But because The Onion leans more to the left, they are entirely off limits.
CNN and other left-wing organizations can’t stand that their monopoly on political humor is over.
They’ve responded by trying to crack down on free speech on social media platforms, but the genie is already out of the bottle.
Conservatives are finally hitting back in this decades-long culture war.
