CNN has been waiting for an opportunity like this.
They’re wounded and like a caged animal, ready to attack.
But CNN thinks they’ve found the silver bullet to finally getting Trump removed from office.
No, this has nothing to do with Robert Mueller or Russia.
It’s got nothing to do with Stormy Daniels or anything like that.
What CNN thinks they can use against the President doesn’t have anything to do with breaking the law or doing something illegal.
Instead, CNN is resorting to the typical Democrat tactic of trying to get the nation to turn on Trump by calling him a racist.
It’s a classic left-wing move. If they can’t find anything ostensibly wrong with someone, they simply do their best to paint them as racist.
Sadly, this has worked in the past.
More than one conservatives’ career has been ruined by being labeled a racist.
In this instance, CNN thinks they found a smoking gun that proves once and for all that Trump is the racist xenophobe they’ve always accused him to be.
This past Sunday, Trump tweeted at several freshman Congresswomen (who are also minorities and immigrants) and told them they should go back to the countries they came from.
Taken at face value, that might seem pretty bad.
But you’d have to read the whole quote to realize Trump wasn’t saying anything racist.
He was merely noting that they should be thankful to live in the greatest nation on earth, and if not, go back to their countries of origin and make it better.
Here’s the entire quote:
“So interesting to see ‘Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world, now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run.”
“Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done.”
Of course, CNN and the rest of liberal news media ran with the fact that a sitting President of the United States told someone of a different race to go back to their country.
CNN published an op-ed and claimed the President’s remarks indicated he didn’t understand America.
They boldly stated that the sentiment of his tweet was ultimately racist.
“And that sentiment is racist. Again, this is not an opinion. This is a fact.”
The op-ed even went so far as to say his tweet was “anti-American.”
“And it’s not only racist. It’s also anti-American. Because America, since at least the early days of the 20th century, has prided itself on the notion that this country — more than any other in the world — is a melting pot. It doesn’t matter where you came from, how you got here, or what your native language is. We are all Americans — not reduced by the tremendous diversity of those who came to this county but bettered and bolstered by it,” CNN journalist Chris Cillizza wrote.
But what they don’t understand is that most of the country, at least the parts not overrun with illegal aliens, want people to learn from the mistakes of their country and use that knowledge to help make America better.
For anyone to immigrate to the U.S. only to uphold their former country’s corrupt values is what actually anti-American.
CNN may think they’ve found the smoking gun on Trump, but in reality, they’re just holding the gun to their heads.
Fake news has its price, and CNN is about to pay for it.
