The so-called mainstream media are ecstatic over Joe Biden being in the White House.
Now that Donald Trump is out, the left is focusing all their attention on Republicans and conservatives.
But the Fox News boss laid down the law and infuriated Democrats.
Ever since the Capitol Hill riot, Democrats have been pushing hard to crack down on everyone on the right.
Twitter competitor Parler was iced by Apple, Google, and Amazon.
Now the Democrat Media Complex is going after their white whale, Fox News.
After years of advertiser boycotts, the left is calling for Fox to be taken off the air.
But News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch made it clear he would not back down to the outrage mob.
During an acceptance speech for the Australian Day Foundation, Murdoch said:
“For those of us in the media, there’s a real challenge to confront: a wave of censorship that seeks to silence conversation, to stifle debate, to ultimately stop individuals and societies from realizing their potential.”
Even honest liberals have to admit Murdoch is correct.
A who’s who of left-wing intellectuals signed on to the Harper’s Letter in a clarion call to stop the rise of cancel culture.
Ironically, some of the signatories withdrew their names after learning that JK Rowling—who’s become persona non grata for expressing a traditional stance on gender—had also signed the letter.
The left is attempting to cancel anyone who does not toe the line.
“This rigidly enforced conformity, aided and abetted by so-called social media, is a straitjacket on sensibility…Too many people have fought too hard in too many places for freedom of speech to be suppressed by this awful woke orthodoxy,” Murdoch stated.
The events of the past few years makes Murdoch’s statement undeniable.
High-profile individuals as well as average citizens have had their lives thrown into chaos because of left-wing outrage mobs.
For example, the Covington Catholic High School kids were branded white supremacists for wearing MAGA hats while being harangued by the racist Black Hebrew Israelites.
The media took a short clip and framed the high school kids as the instigators.
Fortunately, extended footage showed that they were actually the victims, but the media narrative persisted nevertheless.
But Murdoch has signaled that Fox News will not bow to the mob.
The Trump presidency showed that standing up to the crybully left is the only winning strategy.
The outrage mob cannot win if people are willing to stand up to them and say “no.”
