Kamala Harris rarely does media interviews to avoid melting down.
But Harris couldn’t hide forever.
And Kamala Harris froze in the face of one question she never saw coming.
As American Patriot Daily reports:
In a rarity, Kamala Harris spoke with reporters during a swing through Las Vegas to promote the nearly two-trillion-dollar blue state bailout bill and Kamala Harris was left stammering for answers when questioned about the administration’s plans to raise taxes and to sell the bailout bill to the public.
Harris said one of the reasons the administration was launching a blitz now was to push Americans to file their taxes before April 15.
“Part of what the president and I are talking about is also reminding people to file their taxes. We’ve got 30 days to do it before April 15. There are a number of folks who don’t file taxes if their income is too low, but it would actually help them get their benefits quicker and maybe even direct deposits if they file their taxes now, so we want to encourage people to do that so that they know what their rights are right now,” Harris began.
Harris urged for the American people to file before the traditional April 15 deadline to receive stimulus benefits because the Biden administration agreed to less generous stimulus checks going out to fewer Americans than Donald Trump did and some in the public may miss out if they don’t use their 2020 income.
The mention of the tax deadline led reporters to ask Harris about reports the Biden administration was planning on sticking the American people with trillions of dollars in new taxes.
Harris tried to dodge the question.
“We haven’t really figured out what the next phase is going to be, to be honest with you,” Harris responded.
The press then grilled Harris on why the administration needed to launch a weeks-long media and public event blitz to sell a bill that the administration crowed was polling at 75 percent approval.
Harris claimed that the public didn’t understand the benefits of the bill and needed to be told all the benefits they would receive.“It’s not selling it, it’s literally letting people know their rights,” Harris stated.
Harris compared it to how “you buy a product, you’ve already been sold on the product, but you need some directions on the box usually.”
But critics contend the polling is misleading because left-wing media outlets cooked the polls by slanting the questions in the best light for Democrats.
A CNN poll asked Americans the following question:
“As you may know, Congress is considering a bill that would attempt to provide economic relief by sending another round of stimulus checks, extending the availability of unemployment assistance and nutrition assistance, offering additional loans for small businesses, providing funding to K through twelve schools to help a return to the classroom, and increasing federal spending on coronavirus vaccine distribution and development. The bill has a total estimated cost of around one point nine trillion dollars. Based on what you have heard or read about it, do you favor or oppose the bill that Congress is considering?”
Those provisions are not the only pieces of this bill.
A poll question asking if Americans approved a two-trillion-dollar COVID relief bill that only spent nine percent of the money on COVID relief might have elicited a different response.
Americans might also have disapproved of the bill if they knew about the billons in money to reopen schools yet to be spent and how most of the money in this bill does not help schools next year.
Harris and Biden understand this reality and they also know that their bill won’t hold up once Republicans began picking apart the bill by tearing into the 91 percent of the money being used on pet Democrat Party projects.
