The mainstream media’s war against President Donald Trump is kicking into overdrive.
And with the House of Representatives expected to vote on articles of impeachment soon, the left is now setting their sights on Attorney General William Barr.
But one left-wing outlet just accidentally destroyed Eric Holder’s career when he tried to take a shot at President Trump’s top law enforcement officer.
President Trump has drawn ire from Democrats unlike any President since Ronald Reagan.
And with the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives expected to bring up articles of impeachment against him in a matter of days, the war to destroy the President has kicked into high gear.
Left-wing outlets, TV stations, newspapers, and magazines across the country are working harder than ever to trash the President and all connected to him.
So it comes as no surprise to see the Huffington Post, one of the most radically left magazines in America, take a cheap shot at President Trump’s Attorney General, William Barr.
Barr has drawn attacks from Democrats for months now, and his vigorous defense of Trump against Congressional hit jobs – led by Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer – makes him a key target for any left-wing attacks on the White House.
But when the Huffington Post gave former Obama Attorney General Eric Holder the chance to trash Barr in a scathing op-ed, they never dreamed it would destroy his career.
That’s exactly what happened though.
Holder took the opportunity to try and score a kill shot against Barr’s credibility and reputation, but his attacks only rebounded as he attacked Barr for some of the very same stuff he did while he worked for Obama.
The Huffington Post reports, “Holder, who served as the country’s top law enforcement officer from 2009 to 2015 and as deputy attorney general from 1997 to 2001, accused Barr of shameless partisanship and of having behaved in a way that’s “fundamentally inconsistent with his duty to the Constitution.””
Meanwhile, Holder was the first Attorney General in history to be censured by Congress for his dogged defense of the President’s unconstitutional actions while in office.
And Holder’s rank partisanship, hatred of conservatives and Republicans, and politization of the office of Attorney General is one of the key reasons he couldn’t get his political career off the ground after leaving office.
He’s been discredited in the eyes of most Americans.
And Holder’s eagerness to attack Barr for that which he himself is guilty of speaks volumes of both Holder and the Huffington Post.
It was Holder who reneged on his duties in office by letting Mexican drug cartels get their hands on weapons that were used to escalate the drug war on the southern border.
And it was also Holder who presided over one of the most bitterly partisan eras of any Attorney General’s time in history.
But it’s an act of hypocrisy that few Americans will overlook.
Do you think William Barr is a better Attorney General than Eric Holder?
