The war on your right to hear the truth is reaching a fever pitch.
And while it seems like it can’t be real, the lies you hear daily are getting fatter and fatter.
Which is why after Rachel Maddow was caught in a huge bald-faced lie, there will be hell to pay.
Chances are if you’re reading this you’re not the biggest fan of Rachel Maddow.
The whiny host of MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show” is as far left as you can get and has an intense hatred for Donald Trump. The hatred she has for the President is so strong that she spends most of her shows railing against a President who’s done more for this country than the past 10 combined.
It’s not clear what Rachel hates about Trump. Is it the fact he keeps his promises, or, that he’s helped boost the economy, or even reversed black unemployment levels?
Who knows.
The point is Maddow hounds the man and her bias shines bright like the stars.
Which is why it’s an insult to every single American, Democrat or not, that she was asked to moderate the debates in the first place.
Maddow doesn’t see the problem.
She defended NBC choosing to have her on the Democratic debate (even though she used many of the questions as a personal mission to harm Trump).
While speaking with NBC’s Brian Williams (another solid gentleman with an excellent reputation; eyeroll ), she said NBC was studiously neutral and didn’t threaten the candidates’ chances to express themselves fully.
Maddow remarked “When we’re setting these things up, I mean obviously we’re studiously neutral between the candidates. We’re trying not to give anybody a particularly hard time or a particularly easy time trying to make sure that everybody gets on stage and that the most important stuff gets litigated.”
First off, that’s not true.
Directly after the debates Andrew Yang and Marianne Williamson, two of the candidates, accused NBC of silencing them by cutting off their mics.
Yang told supporters about that in a briefing following the debates.
“There were also a few times, fyi, where I just started talking being like, ‘Hey, I want to add something there,’ and my mic was, like, not on,” Yang told supporters following the debate. “And it’s this sort of thing where. It’s not like if you started talking, it takes over the convo. It’s like I was talking, but nothing was happening. And it was like, ‘Oh f—. So that happened a bit too.“
That kind of censorship is not how a “studiously neutral” news organization behaves.
In addition to that, Tulsi Gabbard, one of the few candidates with a broader appeal to the Independent voters, said NBC was in Warren’s pocket.
In a tweet to supporters, she quoted her sister who lamented NBC’s bias.
“It’s clear who MSNBC wants to be president: Elizabeth Warren,” Vrindavan Gabbard tweeted. “They’re giving her more time than all of the other candidates combined. They aren’t giving any time to Tulsi at all.”
Rachel Maddow is well within her rights to have an opinion.
But for her to pretend her presence as a debate moderator didn’t send the wrong signal is insane, and there should be hell to pay for allowing Maddow to continue to push her tinfoil hat conspiracies about Trump on national TV.
