The New York Times has become a disgrace.
“The paper of record” in many ways is just a left-wing tabloid.
And now the Times got caught spreading fake news about the coronavirus.
The Wuhan coronavirus has caused staggering damage to the country in a short span of time.
There’s no telling when the U.S. economy will be able to function again.
One would think this would be the time to come together and operate in the best interest of the country.
But the Democrats have other ideas.
Their goal has always been to take out Donald Trump – and that certainly isn’t going to change just because we’re in the throes of a global pandemic.
Democrats are following the advice of former Barack Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel: “You never let a serious crisis go to waste.”
So in doing their very best to capitalize on the crisis, Nancy Pelosi swooped in and killed the agreed-upon stimulus bill meant to offer financial relief to the American people.
The New York Times first accurately reported on the blocked bill with the headline: “Democrats Block Action on $1.8 Trillion Stimulus”.
Republicans in Congress had postponed their vacations to hammer out a stimulus bill for the American people.
But House Majority Whip James Clyburn reportedly told his fellow Democrat members of Congress, “This is a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision.”
Suddenly, the deal was laden with big-government provisions like diversity quotas on corporate boards, guaranteed minimum wages, and funding for windmills and other green projects.
The New York Times’s headline was too accurate, so of course, they had to change it.
Their second attempt at softening the blow against Democrats was: “Democrats Block Action on Stimulus Plan, Seeking Worker Protections.”
These “worker protections” included funding for the arts, postal service debt forgiveness, and election procedures.
Finally, the Times decided to let the Democrats completely off the hook.
Their third headline read:
“Partisan Divide Threatens Deal on Rescue Bill.”
The evolution of this headline is a real-time encapsulation of how fake news is propagated by the so-called mainstream media.
But this isn’t even close to being the first time the Times has done this. Last year, the Times edited a headline in the aftermath of the mass shooting in El Paso, Texas.
The initial headline read: “Trump Urges Unity Vs. Racism.” However, it wasn’t anti-Trump enough.
After receiving several complaints from their left-wing readers, the Times amended the headline to: “Assailing Hate But Not Guns.”
The Times’s agenda is very clear.
