The Democrats are jumping at every opportunity to take down Donald Trump.
They’re willing to promote literal fake news in hopes of removing Trump from office.
Now another unbelievable hoax about Trump just blew up in Democrats’ faces.
The Democrats have been trying to overturn the results of the 2016 election ever since the instant Donald Trump was inaugurated.
For three years, they tried to argue that Trump colluded with the Russian government to steal the 2016 election.
It’s a preposterous story that was initially cooked up by Hillary Clinton during the 2016 campaign.
The inane conspiracy theory didn’t pick up traction during the campaign, but went berserk when Clinton lost and ruined the Democrats’ succession plan.
Special counsel Robert Mueller was brought in to investigate, but he and his team of 17 Democrats found zero evidence of collusion with Russia.
After the Mueller debacle, it was assumed the Democrats would drop the conspiracy theory, but that hasn’t happened.
In some cases, they’re actually doubling down.
That led Democrats to argue that Trump offered WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange a pardon if he could kill the Russian collusion narrative.
That, of course, turned out to be false.
The truth is that former Republican Representative Dana Rohrabacher—who lost his California House seat in 2018 after a suspicious late surge in Democrat absentee ballots—took a meeting with Assange at the Ecuadorian embassy.
Assange had claimed that the DNC servers were breached internally, not by Russian hackers.
Rohrabacher, who did not meet with Assange at Trump’s behest, said he could get Trump to agree to a pardon if he could provide proof that the emails provided to WikiLeaks came via leak, not hack.
Rohrabacher told Yahoo News, “I spoke to Julian Assange and told him if he would provide evidence about who gave WikiLeaks the emails, I would petition the president to give him a pardon…He knew I could get to the president.”
Nothing ever came of the meeting, but that didn’t stop Democrats from running with stories that Trump offered Assange a pardon for cooperation.
Democrats are so invested in the Russiagate narrative, they’re willing to leap at any story that gives it a whiff of credibility, because the alternative is too much to bear.
No collusion means that the Democrats have engaged in the most blatant conspiracy theorizing.
They’ve tried to sell a gigantic lie to the American people for three years.
No collusion also means the Democrats will have to come to terms with why they lost the 2016 election.
They’ve buried their head in the sand and screamed, “Russia!”
But once they finally give up on Russiagate, they might have to do some self-reflection, which is something they hate.
Democrats have been trying to limit Trump’s effectiveness on social media by branding information they don’t like as “misinformation.”
But these are the same people that have been selling a fabricated conspiracy theory for three years.
The voters are going to remember that when November rolls around.
