Nancy Pelosi stepped in a big mess.
She knows impeaching Donald Trump is a political loser, but she got goaded into it anyway by the radicals in her party and big media interested in reporting on the charade.
But Pelosi said something else about impeachment that left everyone’s jaws on the floor.
Every once in a while, even seasoned politicians like Nancy Pelosi answer a question too honestly, and slowly realize they made a huge mistake.
That’s precisely what happened to Pelosi at a CNN town hall recently.
Pelosi first admitted that the push to impeach Trump had been going on for two and a half years, which was an applause line for the Democrat audience.
But her admission that impeaching Trump has been in the works for over two years exposed just how much of a sham the whole process is.
However, that’s not even close to the most shocking thing Pelosi admitted.
An audience member asked Pelosi why she was in favor of impeaching Trump, but not George W. Bush in 2006.
Her response left everyone’s jaws on the floor:
In this video, Nancy Pelosi says that she knew George W Bush was lying to the public to start a war, but she did not feel this was an impeachable offense.

So according to Pelosi, she knew that Bush misled the country about weapons of mass destruction in order to go to war in Iraq, but somehow that wasn’t an impeachable office.
In Pelosi’s bizzaro world, starting a war that set the Middle East on fire and led to untold deaths was not an impeachable offense, but mentioning Joe Biden’s name in passing during a phone call with the newly elected president of Ukraine is inexplicably worse.
Pelosi must’ve realized her mistake, because she added that she didn’t want two consecutive presidents to get impeached.
How considerate of her.
Pelosi’s statement is truly shocking.
It’s proof that so long as you play establishment politics, you’re generally safe.
But because Trump is unpredictable and unwilling to go along with the stale status quo, he must be impeached.
That’s why the Washington Post and other publicans wanted him out immediately, not even waiting 24 hours to call for his head.
One of the partisan hack lawyers who testified on behalf of the Democrats that Trump should be impeached previously said Trump should’ve been impeached for tweeting that the Obama administration spied on him.
The IG report corroborates that assertion, and AG William Barr’s report will very likely deliver the nail in the coffin when it eventually comes out.
So a tweet deserves impeachment, but starting a war doesn’t?
The Democrats are deeply dishonest, and their priorities are entirely out of whack.
There is no justification for saying that starting a war under false pretenses is not impeachable, but truthful tweets and benign phone conversations are.
That’s an insane standard.
Then again, the Democrats have gone insane.
