Black Lives Matter and Antifa extremists have devastated several American cities with endless riots.
The so-called mainstream media has largely ignored the carnage.
But Black Lives Matter just admitted one truth that has Democrats panicking.
Joe Biden could be entering the White House under difficult circumstances.
Many believe that voter irregularities propelled him to victory, and most agree—including Democrats—that the corporate press played a crucial role in helping him win against Donald Trump.
But Biden also has to deal with warring factions within his own party.
Democrats did much worse down-ballot than expected in the 2020 election and a leaked postmortem congressional meeting exposed the divide between representatives in purple districts versus the wild-eyed socialists in safe deep-blue districts.
The supposed moderates were hurt badly by the radicalization of the party and one of the driving forces behind that is Black Lives Matter.
Recently, Patrisse Cullors, the co-founder of BLM, responded to the criticism that she and her organization is Marxist.
Instead of walking back a comment from 2015 when she said she was a “trained Marxist,” Cullors doubled down.
“Am I a Marxist? I am a lot of things. I do believe in Marxism. It’s a philosophy that I learned early on in my organizing career. We were taught to learn about the systems that were criticizing capitalism. We were taught to understand why there were philosophies that were criticizing capitalism.”
When the producer of the video pointed out that communism has failed everywhere it’s been tried, Cullors responded, “So has capitalism.”
If by the failure of capitalism she means it lifted more people out of abject poverty than any other system, she is correct.
Leftists like Cullors always compare countries with free markets to a Utopian state that’s never existed.
Worldwide poverty has been slashed in half over the last 40 years. That wasn’t due to socialism – it was due to free markets.
Cullors also added, “Everybody called Martin Luther King a communist…up until he was assassinated. And now, everybody loves Dr. Martin Luther King. Nobody talks about his work as being work that was terrible or bad,” Cullors added.
But this is deeply disingenuous.
Martin Luther King was not a communist, unlike Stan Levison and Jack O’Dell who were actual card-carrying members of the Communist Party USA and had insinuated themselves into the civil rights movement.
Furthermore, today’s leftists like Cullors actually reject King’s concept of judging people by their character and not the color of their skin.
Identity politics animates the left today and BLM is raking in billions of dollars in the process.
