CNN has a whistle blower problem.
A former insider revealed the ugly truth about what goes on at CNN.
CNN is now threatened by one allegation that terrified every top executive.
As Black Eye Politics reports:
Anchor Brooke Baldwin joined CNN in 2008 and eventually ascended to the position of midday anchor.
Baldwin recently announced she was leaving CNN; in an interview with the Ms. Magazine podcast, Baldwin revealed that CNN—for all its liberal righteousness and supposed support for women and the feminist agenda—created a boy’s club atmosphere that Baldwin did not find conducive to allowing women to tell their stories and advance at the network.
“The most influential anchors on our network, the highest-paid, are men. My bosses, my executives, are men. The person who oversees CNN Dayside is a man, and my executive producer for 10 years is a man. So I’ve been surrounded by a lot of men,” Baldwin stated.
CNN often browbeats Americans about the virtues of “diversity and inclusion,” but Baldwin lamented that there was not much diversity at CNN.
“I was surrounded by a lot of dudes,” Baldwin added.
Baldwin exposed the hypocrisy of CNN—where anchors often ranted and raved about Donald Trump supposedly “disrespecting” women—where network executives routinely shot down her pitches to do more stories about women.
“I know I, personally, fight for women’s stories,” Baldwin began.
“I got told no a lot and I still managed to do it,” Baldwin lamented.
The final insult may have come when CNN—which professes to worship the values of diversity and inclusion—benched Baldwin during the home stretch of the 2020 campaign in favor of expanding left-wing political activist Jake Tapper’s program.
“As the election gears up, the political maestro @jaketapper will hold down my hour and his for the coming weeks. Wish I was with you, but I’ll see ya on [TV] on the flip side of the election,” Baldwin tweeted.
“Not my choice,” Baldwin responded when asked by a follower why she was not on the air.
Baldwin’s complaints are backed up by data.
In 2018, TheWrap studied the on-air talent composition and found that CNN lagged behind Fox News and MSNBC in terms of female representation.
“CNN has significantly fewer women serving in visible on-air roles than either Fox News or MSNBC,” TheWrap wrote.
Many Americans are not surprised by this turn of events.
Liberal institutions or individuals that claim to be supporters of women or “feminists”—Harvey Weinstein, Bill Clinton, Andrew Cuomo and many new organizations exposed in the “Me Too” scandal—turn out to be the biggest predators or create the most toxic work environments.
