The left has gone entirely too far.
Their hatred of Donald Trump and conservatives has pushed them to the point of no return.
And now Democrats are using one nightmarish tactic to stop Trump in November.
In the seminal work “1984,” George Orwell wrote:
“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.”
Written in 1948, Orwell’s dystopian novel is quickly becoming a reality.
Orwell was writing about the Soviet Union, and those same terrible ideas have been propagated on college campuses for decades. Now the country is experiencing the yield of those seeds.
As Orwell said, statues are being torn down, books on Amazon are being digitally burned, and classic films have been removed from libraries.
And now Google, arguably the most powerful company in human history, is leveraging its considerable clout to censor conservative websites.
Google controls roughly 70% of advertising on the web, so if Google won’t allow a particular site to monetize through ads, it becomes almost impossible for the site to survive.
Far-left activists at NBC News recently urged Google to pull advertising from two conservative news sites – ZeroHedge and The Federalist – because they purportedly were derogatory about the Black Lives Matter movement.
And Google shockingly obliged.
NBC News smeared the sites as “far right,” which is basically anyone who doesn’t love Josef Stalin.
ZeroHedge is a financial blog that was banned from Twitter for speculating that the Wuhan virus originated in a lab – an assertion The Washington Post later made.
And The Federalist is one of the most well-regarded mainstream conservative sites whose podcast previously aired on Sirius XM.
But neither site said anything offensive about Black Lives Matter, so Google panicked and said the sites’ comment sections had to be curated in order to be monetized.
While The Federalist deleted their comments section in order to stay in business, the encroachment by Google was a massive overreach.
Publishers are not responsible for their comments sections. If they were, then Google would have to demonetize itself because of all the millions of videos uploaded to their subsidiary YouTube.
This is one of the most shocking moves in the culture war, and it’s a clear shot across the bow for Trump and conservatives.
Trump won in 2016 largely because of his social media presence.
But the tech giants, who are all left-wing, are using their considerable weight to stifle Trump’s message.
Conservatives have no choice but to build alternative platforms to circumvent the left from purging all dissident voices.
