CNN is a bottomless pit of fake news.
The network has debased itself over the last four years in an attempt to take down Donald Trump.
So one Fox News host ripped CNN to shreds.
Studies have shown that over 90% of CNN’s coverage has been negative toward Donald Trump.
CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta—who made a name for himself by grandstanding during press briefings—recently suggested that he and other members of the so-called mainstream media should not antagonize a Biden administration.
“I don’t think the press should be trying to whip up the Biden presidency and turn it into must-see TV in a contrived way,” Acosta said.
That’s a bold claim considering Acosta’s multiple outbursts during live briefings that ultimately parlayed him into landing a book deal.
So Fox News host Howard Kurtz ripped Acosta for his partisan about-face:
“I was absolutely shocked…Look, Jim Acosta got a book deal and a little bit of fame by constantly trashing President Trump, by debating him rather than questioning him and pushing his own agenda. For him now to tell ‘The Atlantic,’ among other quotes, the Trump presidency was a nonstop national emergency and that he couldn’t stomach the president’s attack on the press really shows that for Jim Acosta this has been personal vendetta.”
Kurtz assertion is also backed up by leaked conference calls featuring CNN president Jeff Zucker.
Acosta and other journalists at CNN have continuously sparred with Trump and injected themselves into the story instead of reporting on it and Trump has routinely taken CNN to task for their lies and double standards in response.
CNN correspondent April Ryan recently chastised fellow journalists for leaking details of a meeting between Biden and civil rights leaders, but was certainly gleeful over the leaked audio of Melania Trump’s conversations.
And MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt praised Biden for being cagey about whether or not he had a closed-door meeting with Mitch McConnell.
But with an upcoming Biden administration, CNN is struggling to figure out what their business model will be.
They’ve painted themselves as the “Orange Man Bad” network – which will definitely be a hard sell with Joe Biden in the White House for obvious reasons.
And there are rumblings that Zucker might even be on the outs due to corporate restructuring.
CNN benefitted from the “Trump bump” with their four years of wall-to-wall negative coverage, but now they’ll actually have to do some honest journalism if they’re going to stay afloat.
