MSNBC is deeply concerned about the general election.
Talking heads at the network are doing everything they can to turn people away from Donald Trump and the Republican Party.
And one MSNBC host made a racist statement that shocked everybody.
Chris Hayes is one of the obnoxious hosts at the liberal MSNBC.
In his book, Hayes recounted a story of seeing young black kids stealing a white man’s phone, and he questioned whether or not he should call the police because of some sort of systemic injustice, which is incredibly patronizing in true liberal elite form.
Hayes took that same patronizing attitude and made an incredibly racist statement about black voters.
During a discussion with far-left professor and commentator Eddie Glaude, Hayes said, “White people in America have two parties to choose from, and between those two parties, they sort in all kinds of ways.”
According to Hayes, only white voters have the agency to choose which party serves their best interest.
He continued, “So people that are college, post-graduate atheists who live in metro areas, like, those are Democrats, and people that are rural and go to church every week and were high school graduates, most likely Republican. For black voters in those two categories…they’re both going to be in the Democratic Party because there’s only one party they can be a part of because of the nature of structural white supremacy in America in the political coalitions.”
This is an incredibly ignorant statement, particularly given the history of the Democrat Party.
In the early 1930s, blacks voted Democrat about one-third of the time despite the fact the Democrats were the party of slavery, Jim Crow, and the KKK.
The abolitionists were Republicans, as was the first black senator.
When Franklin Roosevelt ran for re-election in 1936, he got roughly two-thirds of the black vote because they were hoping to avail themselves of New Deal programs during the Great Depression that was extended chiefly because of Roosevelt’s excessive economic intervention.
The story that Hayes and the Democrats have sold for decades is that the parties “switched” in the 1960s when Dixiecrat Lyndon Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 after opposing civil rights bills in 1957 and 1960.
Hayes fails to understand that black voters have the capacity to choose parties and politicians beyond the Democrat Media Complex messaging.
This is one of the reasons why Trump’s support among black voters has increased despite nonstop criticism in the corporate press.
And Democrats like Hayes mock and/or ignore black Republicans.
They feel empowered to trash accomplished people like renowned surgeon Dr. Ben Carson, something they would never do if he were a Democrat.
This is the same con game they run with women and other “oppressed” groups.
Black people and women who are Republicans must be ridiculed or ignored because they cut against the left’s incessant media narrative.
But the Democrats could be in for a rude awakening in November if they take the black vote for granted.
