The so-called mainstream media are up to their old tricks again.
They’re using the Wuhan coronavirus to attack Donald Trump and Republicans.
And MSNBC is floating a sickening coronavirus conspiracy theory about Trump.
Big media is more than ever proving itself to be the “enemy of the American people”.
In the midst of the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak, it would be nice to have a corporate press that was chiefly concerned with giving accurate information to the American people.
Instead they’ve chosen rancor, division, and flat-out disinformation that could cost people their lives.
The latest example involves the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine.
Based on anecdotal evidence from doctors and patients who recovered after taking the drug, Trump touted it as a possible treatment for the coronavirus.
One would think the press might consider this encouraging news.
Instead, they’ve done everything in their power to downplay the efficacy of the drug, even suggesting that promoting it is tantamount to second-degree murder.
However, New York governor Andrew Cuomo has said the drug could be an effective treatment, as have the Centers for Disease Control CDC and other health officials around the world.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) also approved the use of the drug if recommended.
Apparently, none of this was good enough for the Democrat Media Complex.
So now the media is trying to claim Trump is gaining financially from the promotion of hydroxychloroquine.
MSNBC got the ball rolling on this nonsense.
“Morning Joe” co-host Mike Brzezinski said, “A lot of people would say, follow the money. There’s got to be some sort of financial tie to someone somewhere that has the president pushing this repeatedly.”
Strangely enough, the Democrats and their media allies never scrutinize Andrew Cuomo when he says the same thing about the antimalarial drug.
Of course other left-wing outlets ran with the narrative that Trump was deliberately profiteering off hydroxychloroquine.
The New York Times wrote a piece about Trump having financial interest in French drug company, Sanofi, that makes a version of hydroxychloroquine.
However, Trump’s minuscule and indirect tie to the company is through a mutual fund that has a small percentage invested in the company (as well as many others).
Trump’s “stake” in the company is somewhere in the range of $100 to $1,200.
According to the so-called mainstream media, this is the nefarious reason why Trump is hopeful about hydroxychloroquine – because he stands to make 20 bucks or so.
The media has become as toxic as the coronavirus pandemic and the American people see it.
