Last year was mired by the burdensome COVID lockdowns that still persist.
This year could be defined by nightmarish free speech crackdowns.
Now the New York Times is proposing one unthinkable attack against Tucker Carlson.
The Democrats are going for blood in the aftermath of the horrific Capitol Hill riot.
They believe it’s a golden opportunity to crack down on speech and news that’s counter-narrative.
Donald Trump has already been banned from every social media network, a move so shocking that even progressive German chancellor Angela Merkel spoke out against it.
Now the target is all Republicans, conservatives, and “even libertarians” according to deep state conspirator John Brennan.
CNN and other platforms have called for the censorship of Tucker Carlson and other prominent right-wing voices.
And The New York Times has escalated it even further by suggesting the Biden administration appoint a “reality czar.”
Times columnist Kevin Roose, a censorship activist masquerading as a journalist, writes:
“Several experts I spoke with recommended that the Biden administration put together a cross-agency task force to tackle disinformation and domestic extremism, which would be led by something like a ‘reality czar.’ It sounds a little dystopian, I’ll grant.”
“This task force could also meet regularly with tech platforms, and push for structural changes that could help those companies tackle their own extremism and misinformation problems. (For example, it could formulate “safe harbor” exemptions that would allow platforms to share data about QAnon and other conspiracy theory communities with researchers and government agencies without running afoul of privacy laws.) And it could become the tip of the spear for the federal government’s response to the reality crisis.”
Roose wants the government to extrajudicially spy on American citizens by allowing tech platforms to collude with one another and share private information.
When Richard Nixon opened up Maoist China to the world market, the thought was China would moderate and become more like the West.
Sadly, the opposite has happened, and yet, the New York Times is openly calling for Chinese Communist Party-level surveillance.

We’ve already seen how the corporate press swayed the 2020 election by burying stories detrimental to Joe Biden.
What Roose is proposing would be truly frightening.
Unfortunately, a large swath of Democrats agree with this line of thinking.
