Leftists are about to make another hard push to tear down the Second Amendment.
They won’t stop until they achieve full gun confiscation.
And one New York Times writer made an infuriating statement about gun control.
Far-left New York Times writer Nikole Hannah-Jones recently won a Pulitzer Prize for her fraudulent piece of history in The 1619 Project.
Needless to say, that’s ridiculous.
The Founding Fathers believed slavery was a moral abomination, and wrote laws intending to dismantle it.
Renowned American history scholars denounced The 1619 Project, but it’s still being celebrated by leftists and taught in select high schools around the country.
Now Hannah-Jones is making up her own history again to attack the Second Amendment.
She argued that the Second Amendment was instituted to protect slavery.
This reference to the 2nd Amendment is a head scratcher only if you don’t know that 2nd Amendment was in fact created to ensure Southern slaveowners the right to maintain & arm slave patrols to put down insurrections amongst the enslaved. Now he’s invoking agnst their descendants https://t.co/9anFgRjQCm

Again, this is completely fraudulent history.
The Second Amendment comes from British common law.
Without firearms, America might’ve remained a British colony for another century.
Also, the first state that implemented the right to bear arms was Pennsylvania, which was not a slave state.
And it was the Ku Klux Klan, the terrorist wing of the Democrat Party, that pushed for gun control laws to keep freed blacks from defending themselves.
The KKK pushed for gun registries for this same reason.
Not only is Hannah-Jones wrong, she’s advocating for the same policies that the KKK did a century ago.
This is one of the many problems of leftism.
Once it goes too far, it begins to eat itself.
For example, one disturbing new trend is that black students on college campuses have been fighting for segregated dorms, community centers, and even graduation ceremonies.
Again, these are policies the KKK would whole-heartedly embrace.
The Second Amendment not only serves as a hedge against a tyrannical government, but it gives people a chance to defend themselves in the face of chaos.
The ongoing protests over the murder of Minnesota native George Floyd have turned violent, and law-abiding citizens have been left to fend for themselves.
That’s why gun sales are spiking, even in blue states with onerous gun laws.
Don’t be fooled by nonsense from Nikole Hannah-Jones and other gun-grabbers.
