It’s no surprise that virtually the entire media establishment is against Donald Trump.
The corporate press is crawling with liberals and Never-Trump Republicans.
And one debate moderator got caught red-handed trying to help Joe Biden.
The fix is in for Joe Biden.
Wallace turned into an active debater against Trump and refused to ask tough follow-up questions to Biden.
He urged Trump to condemn white supremacy for the hundredth time while refusing to call on Biden to denounce Antifa.
Wallace also characterized Trump’s move to ban critical race theory—a radical ideology steeped in Marxism—from the federal government as merely “racial sensitivity training.”
And if that wasn’t bad enough, the moderator for the second debate was set to be C-SPAN editor Steve Scully, a former Biden intern.
Scully’s obvious bias came to the forefront when he tweeted former Trump comms director Anthony Scaramucci – who embarrassingly flamed out within weeks – to get advice on whether or not he should respond to Trump who had criticized him publicly.
Since his firing, Scaramucci has been a staunch Trump critic, so Scully was seeking advice from someone who had animus for Trump.
Scully tweeted: “Should I respond to Trump?”
Scaramucci responded: “Ignore. He is having a hard enough time. Some more bad stuff about to go down.”
The problem for Scully was that he meant the tweet to be a private direct message.
Scully compounded his mistake by claiming his account was hacked, which has become the go-to move for anyone who tweets something embarrassing.
However, Scully was forced to confess his lie before the FBI got involved to investigate.
Scully made another nauseating move by trying to frame himself as the victim during a mealy-mouthed apology.
“For several weeks, I was subjected to relentless criticism on social media and in conservative news outlets regarding my role as moderator for the second presidential debate, including attacks aimed directly at my family…This culminated on Thursday, October 8 when I heard President Trump go on national television twice and falsely attack me by name. Out of frustration, I sent a brief tweet addressed to Anthony Scaramucci. The next morning when I saw that this tweet had created a new controversy, I falsely claimed that my Twitter account had been hacked.”
Scully embarrassed himself as well as C-SPAN, which has managed to uphold its reputation of being nonpartisan.
Retired C-SPAN CEO and founder Brian Lamb always made it a point to treat both the left and right fairly, and Scully undermined that mission with his cowardly partisan antics.
Coincidentally, C-SPAN viewers overwhelmingly believed Trump won the first debate despite Chris Wallace’s #Resistance moderation.
Ultimately, Scully ruined his reputation for no reason because the second debate ended up being canceled.
The Debate Commission, which is filled with Democrats and—according to former GOP presidential candidate Bob Dole—Never-Trump Republicans, canceled the event after Trump refused to conduct the debate virtually.
But the American people will get to see one more debate between the two, and the Democrats will do everything they can to protect Biden yet again.
