Rachel Maddow’s MSNBC ratings have tanked.
The bottom fell out after the Mueller report proved the Russian collusion narrative was a hoax.
Now Maddow just disgraced herself with one embarrassing interview.
Rachel Maddow experienced a surge in the cable news ratings because she sold a lie to her audience.
Maddow’s MSNBC show became a hub for ridiculous conspiracies between Donald Trump and the Russians.
Maddow went so far as to say Russian president Vladimir Putin might shut down the power grid on the eastern seaboard.
Then Robert Mueller released his memo that showed no collusion between the Russians and Trump campaign.
Maddow was in near tears when the news broke, saddened by the fact that the President of the United States was not a Russian asset.
Once Americans realized the Mueller probe had been nothing more than a witch hunt, Maddow’s ratings cratered.
She’s been flailing around ever since.
And now she just conducted one interview that was truly embarrassing.
Maddow had on disgraced FBI lawyer Lisa Page for the softest of softball interviews.
Page is infamous for having an affair with fellow FBI agent Peter Strzok, the point man for the Russian investigation.
Page and Strzok exchanged several texts that brought shame on the FBI and exposed the deep state coup against Donald Trump.
The two talked of an “insurance policy” to deploy against Donald Trump.
When Page voiced concerns over Trump winning, Strzok comforted her by saying “we’ll stop it.”
In any other context, this is damning evidence of subverting a president, but because it’s Trump, everything is fair game, even spying.
Instead of asking Page a single challenging question, Maddow just gushed out Page’s bravery and how she’s become a target.
This is the so-called mainstream media in a nutshell.
Their job isn’t to inform, it’s to sell a narrative.
The truth is Page is trying to get ahead of Attorney General William Barr and lead prosecutor John Durham.
Both men are looking heavily into the origins of the Russia investigation, and it won’t be pretty for the FBI, Page included.
The report from Inspector General Michael Horowitz has already showed gross misconduct on the part of the FBI.
There’s no telling what kind of corruption Barr and Durham will uncover.
That’s why Page has suddenly emerged from the shadows and is conducting softball interviews.
She’s trying to push a narrative before the truth comes out and deep state operatives start going to jail.
Maddow was happy to oblige, because MSNBC gave up on fact-finding a long time ago.
Expect more of the key players in the fake Russia investigation to come forward and talk to the corporate press.
Their last best hope is to beat Barr to the punch and hope the media will shield them.
