Trey Gowdy cut his teeth in Washington exposing the criminal wrongdoings of Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and their Deep State allies.

And Gowdy has done it again.

Appearing on Fox News, Trey Gowdy exposed this massive scandal the media is working to hide from you.

Martha MacCallum had Gowdy and former special prosecutor Kenneth Starr on her program to discuss the escalating fight between the Trump administration and House Democrats itching to impeach the President.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler is subpoenaing every document under the sun in a wild fishing expedition to dig up dirt on President Trump that crazed Democrats can use as the basis for impeachment.

Nadler and his allies are being cheered on by the media that uncritically reports his comments of there being a “constitutional crisis” in America after his committee voted to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress for not breaking the law in revealing secret grand jury testimony by giving the Democrats an unredacted version of the Mueller report.

Gowdy pointed out that when he was chairing the Benghazi Select Committee the so-called “mainstream” media was singing a different tune.

“Yeah. The reason I’m smiling, Martha, the Democrats and the D.C. media never met a subpoena for the first six years I was in Congress they could embrace. The Obama administration routinely ignored requests for information so, god knows that can’t be an impeachable offense.” Gowdy told MacCallum. “I didn’t think Rod Rosenstein should be impeached I didn’t think John Koskinen should be impeached. It is the political death penalty. You need to be very careful when you use or how you authorize the use of what is tantamount to the political death penalty. They are not going to succeed. The jury is not going to go along. This is about fundraising and placating your base.”

When Republicans control Congress fake news reporters warn them not to “overreach” in investigating a Democrat President.

Pundits “helpfully” warn Republicans “not to overreach.”

What they mean by that is to never investigate a Democrat or conduct oversight.

Doing so would force fake news reporters to cover uncomfortable facts about the Democrats they act as cheerleaders for.

But now that Democrats run Congress and there is a a renewed zeal in the media for Congressional oversight.

Critics often say the media’s real job is to take any given set of facts and spin it as favorably as they can for the Democrat Party.

Jerry Nadler holding Barr in contempt of Congress is a perfect example of this form of liberal bias.

Back in 2012, liberal journalists howled and whined about the Republican controlled House of Representatives holding then Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress for not turning over documents related to the Obama administration running guns to Mexico that ended up in the hands of drug cartels in the disastrous “Operation Fast and Furious.”

In 2012, CNN fake news anchor Brooke Baldwin asked Republican Congressman John Mica “Why go ahead with a contempt vote? Why?”” and echoed Democratic talking points when she continued “For a lot of people, this is Republican versus Democrat, and they say, ‘This is just theater, it amounts to nothing.”

By comparison, so-called “journalists” demanded Democrats throw Attorney General Barr in leg irons and haul him off to prison.
